As you can see from the review below, Edinburgh is quite close and you must NOT miss a visit; by night especially it is a wonderful place to walk around (guest photo attached)…
As this reviewer mentions, the house is in its own delightful grounds and a short stroll around is so relaxing…

Perfect weekend stay for New Year 2018. Merlindale House is excellent, well equipped with toiletries and welcome pack, very thoughtful. Really enjoyed our stay.

October 2017: Great weekend was had by all. Plenty of walking to be done! Log fire was great and table tennis was fun. All extras provided were great. Nice place.

September 2017: Not here long enough to do the area justice; but this beautiful home from home was so lovely to return to after a day in Edinburgh. Must come back to beat my husband at Bar football and table tennis! Denise’s articles on Arthurian/Merlin legends are very convincing, so look out Tintagel !
